I Can Do It Myself!

According to developmental psychologist, Erik Erikson, children in their preschool years start to have a need to develop a sense of initiative. They want to take control of their environment, plan activities, and take on challenges. Thus, it is important to allow them to explore their environment and be independent, so that they can develop a sense of purpose and direction as they grow up. This workshop will:

~ Encourage children to take on simple roles to be independent at home

~ Educate and guide children to make appropriate choices regarding responsibilities at home

~ Allow children to be self-confident in their abilities to be independent
